I took tomorrow off.

I aim to spend some time outside, since it's going to be warm, and there aren't many of those left in the next little while. Nothing like living in Michigan to make you appreciate summertime, warmth, getting sweaty being outside. Living through long winters up here--- it's somethin'. After a few, especially. When you've kinda gotten the idea. (The idea: they're long.)

I live "up here," I just realized.

[livejournal.com profile] crankyasanoldma has noted that tomorrow is Museum Day; Smithsonian-affiliated institutions will be letting people in free. While Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum is free (to get in) anyway, and not outside (in the warm air), maybe it'd be a good day for me to check it out anyway.

I hope I wake up feeling like the world's my oyster, or my fried oyster sandwich on white bread with ketchup, or my fried calamari dipped in some especially pleasing aioli.

Sounds amusing. I don't teach Thursdays, if you'd like company and a carpool.

Alrightee, I'll consider that offer! Will probably be doing yardwork-type stuff in the earlier parts of the day. But generally gonna improvise with my possible oyster. (Adds to the oysterness.)

I'm good both with vagueness and with going later in the day--I'm on a night-shift sleep schedule, so I don't get up until around noon.
