grumble

Netflix is SO in cahoots with somebody. DVD manufacturers and/or TV networks. It's ridiculous how long the wait is on some newly released TV series discs. Why wouldn't they buy more to meet the obvious need/desire of their customers? Yeah, it's sort of a waste in that demand will go down soon, but I smell collusion. Cuz you know some folks don't want to wait and will cave & buy the discs themselves.

I wonder whether Blockbuster does the same thing.

Blockbuster tends to have more copies of new releases because they can turn around later and sell them used. Netflix doesn't do that.

i may drop netflix now, because i haven't been using it much, and my new home computer runs on Linux, and it's complicated to set Linux up to watch Netflix instant-watch videos on it, because Netflix uses some software that is basically proprietary Microsoft stuff, if I am understanding i rightly.
