That's the email from the shelter today. Funny how the apostrophe makes me want to chip in even more. It's like a textual call for help within the call for help.

I've been thinking I'd not do it this summer, and I'm not in position to take any right now, though I did go ahead & read the descriptions of the 4 litters they're trying to get shipped out this weekend. I'm going to weekend away soon, too, and wouldn't want to leave some freshly-arrived runts. Yeah, I used "weekend" as a verb---you gotta problem with that?

No reason I can't at least think about taking some after that.

If you should happen to know anyone up in the Ann Arbor area that might want a furry or two of the canine variety, let me know...I might even be willing to deliver up there for gas cost plus the adoption fee.

Yeah, we found a home for Elly, the female, and then we found someone for Eddy, but then the people backed out wanting Eddy, and my parents jumped for joy, basically showing that they wanted to keep Eddy.

They may or may not put their 1.5 year old chocolate lab mix up for adoption later, but only time will tell there.

exactly...Their chocolate was also another stray found wandering up their road that they adopted, but she's proven to be a bit of a handful, and doesn't share well with other dogs. They say, though, that that quality only started coming out when they were fostering the three pups. so they hope that she will settle down with just the three around rather than 5 or 6.
