That looks like something out of Jan Svankmajer's creepy stop-motion version of Alice in Wonderland. I can't decide whether I wholeheartedly approve or whether it's simply going to give me nightmares.

A little from 'Column A,' a little from 'Column B.'

added to queue! and not taken out, even after the pop-up suggested Eraserhead as somehow related.

Hee! I like that video.

Alice isn't a great interpretation of the story, I'll warn you--and it's actively irritating when it cuts to the narrator's lips saying something like, "...said the White Rabbit" after every damn line of dialogue--but it is visually very nifty. By turns disturbing and goofy, which just makes the whole thing even weirder.

I thought Svankmajer's Little Otik was a lot better. Did I tell you about it? It's about a couple who can't conceive, so the husband makes his wife a baby doll out of a tree stump, and she begins thinking of it as a real child. Then it comes to life and starts eating people. I guess it's a black comedy, but mostly it's just engagingly bizarre. I loved it.

I was sold before that part--- icing on the cake.

I can get into engagingly bizarre sometimes.
