I guess I am feeling a tad quixotic. Mostly I'm feeling anxious about the car (cheap station wagon under consideration) and a little bummed that the boss was a tad more directive about the day than I'd been hoping she'd be. We're done working early today because of the annual office party (watered down this year---held on-site), and bosswomon clearly thus didn't want me taking a long lunch before that. But the mechanic isn't available late enough today that I could just skip the party, so now it'll be Monday before we get it checked out.

So we'll see whether the goddess wants us to have this car, I guess.

Now: how drunk shall I get at work this afternoon?

Our holiday party next Friday is supposedly quite watered down from years past. It's going to be downstairs in the lobby during office hours. Although there will be a holiday treasure hunt in the morning. That might be fun. My office is figuring out ways we can skip the main event, though. Grumpy little research gnomes are we.
