It looks like Fargo, only I thought the snow was deeper in most scenes.

Yep, it's Fargo. After burying of the loot in the snow by the road, Buscemi then looks in each direction along the fence & decides to mark the spot (I think with the ice scraper he was digging with). (He's also bleeding badly as he does it, I believe.)

Of course he's not going to be coming back for that money. So, come thaw, some farmer's going to find it. And, it being up there, probably report it to the police instead of using it to pay off the thrasher.

Or else it'll be a lowly employee of big agribusiness. Who, I hope, keeps it.
