Remind me, somebody.

Last night I saw Persepolis. It was good.

Earlier I had been sitting on Washtenaw, torn between whether to go ahead to the gym or just get gas & go cry somewhere. I ended up getting gas & going to the gym. It was insufficient faith that the tears I felt so close would follow through & leave me, if not relieved, at least a little spent that way. Plus I had the feeling that, even if they showed, they wouldn't last for the hours & hours it felt as if they should.

The birdfeeder's empty. I have to put my shoes on to go out later anyway. Yeah, I said "anyway." Fuck it. That was just for fun, and I seem to be forgetting what I like about fun, too.

I think compassion is only a gift for the receiver. I'm not sure it usually benefits the giver unless you believe in some divine repayment for it later. Or maybe unless the receiver is really grateful...
