can't use cpap. kinda on the miserable side.

thanks for your nice comments, you guys who commented nice. i'm doing no extraordinarily opened-eyed coping with my mind & heart & circumstances so far, though. just trying to outlast this bug.

hey, O, am i right that there's a certain sense of community at hot yoga? meant to ask you that.

i did get out of the house briefly yesterday to return some library stuff. stopped at CVS afterwards for kleenex and fingernail polish. yeah, you read right.

did you know that among the extra things (they tote that) they put in fingernail polish (to help the nails grow and be strong & healthy, in their deadness) are nylon, vitamins, aloe, and soy protein? and i didn't even read all of them. also you can spend the better part of a twenty on one little bottle of polish, if you want to.

i feel crappy, and i'm getting tired of it. my glands are wicked swollen; my eyeballs hurt. whine, whine. i had been afraid i might accidentally go in to work today, which we have off. turns out i wouldn't have gone in even if we didn't.

warner bros cartoons on the big screen at the michigan, all you locals who don't feel like crap. starts at 1:30, though, so you'd have to book.

to second good old bfd, sorry to hear the machinery is making life complicated again. are you eating citrus? i've been eating and juicing it relentlessly and it seems to help.

yes, there is some sort of sense of community at yoga. it's mostly joe's accomplishment, i would say, because he knows what to do with people. he's harmless and he's not a glutton for money. london, for instance, was very different; in my experience, this is the friendliest studio i've been at. (in case it didn't become clear, joe was the matchmaker of my most recent personal mismatch and was very invested in hearing that it worked out and disappointed to hear that it didn't; said, "his loss":)

i had meant to say something about the atmosphere and the odd coincidences and compatibilities between yoga and capitalism, but thought none other than me would find the musings interesting. i thin kit is a place where people come to get away from work and hard life, but it's still discipline. it's hard to draw the line between the different disciplines people indulge in; there are many recovering addicts in there. the intentions are good, but it's also always limited or circumscribed by how different people's actual lives are. some of the weirdest and the most anti-social have the best practice.

sometimes the teachers themselves don't get the point, but can ape the form. that might bring the studio down.
