susanstinson just posted a good one about fat. as i was reading it i was thinking how crazy it is that, no matter how much we know how to be good to ourselves, we can't be reminded too often. some of us, anyway. and i then come back in my mind again to how much one's negotiation of being raised female is tied up in that business.
