well, it was a fine concept, i'll give it that. a really great idea. and boy can i get into the notion of wanting to erase the whole thing, but also not wanting to, while wanting to (and not wanting to). BUT, completely apart from the carreyness factor, the film never established that that couple was anything special at all. so what's to mourn? at best it seemed to me to count on our accepting how great the love was as a premise, and f*ck that. show me the love. then break my heart. and to break it you can't be screaming so loudly wit' yer artifice and yer "lookit my artifice! nifty, innit??"
