big movie time

shipping from netflix today: the first in my big movie marathon. on a whim i arranged for the first 10 in my queue to be films with "big" in the title. so if you're up for some taking in a little "big" noir, do let me know.

i think i'd been thinking, seeing the title, that this film was this other b/w not-noir '40s film. which is a fine lazy weekend afternoon half-attention picture. but it's not "big."

that must be the one! he was the subject of conversation at a recent defense celebration, if only one for ridicule (of the quality and condition of his sweatshirt in the first year of our shared education).

one would think that in the course of six years more substantive qualities of his would come to light, or the sense of scale would emerge for some otherwise clueless people, esp by the time we have occasion to celebrate someone's successful exit from the game, but no.

i started working a bit, but now i'm lazy again. might go check out the parky-park behind our house and maybe take a nap and try to work a bit more.
