i may just have to look up in the chilton's guide how to pop off some of that plastic without tearing it up. so far my amateur bending of the new injury hasn't done the trick. but e turned me on to the fact that the public library gives us citizenz access to the online database of that repair manual stuff...

alternately, we could just speak to the vehicle in soothing tones, give it an opportunity to tell us its troubles, and see what healing results from that there.

that sounds like sound advice.

also, as far as it pertains to potential wanderings, one can always get into the car through one door and hop over the stick...

i think you'll have to ride shotgun (passenger) the whole way then. be the 'one' jumping stick, that is. ;)

not that i haven't had my car interior athletic moments. but it's been a while. plus i kinda checked the front seats out visually the other day, wondering about that option.

there must be some way duct tape could fix it all up.

if it were up to my father, it would be wire all around. wire seems to fix everything in his world. i wonder if some combination of duct tape and wire would do it this time.

most multicultural and interdisciplinary! not to mention gender-blind.

how cosmopolitan it all starts to feel!

i guess there's a sense of 'catholic' one might apply (is there?), but i'd rather not.

so, shall we decide ahead of time which way we're driving, or get in the car and spin a spinner, roll some dice, or otherwise leave it to the goddesses?

well, it would depend on how long our spin would last. if only for a day, we could spin wildly and decide on the go, as it were.

do got to wait until the boss gets back. plus we have our visitor from the pac nw pending. and i have a houseguest coming, too, after that.

yeah. that's why i'm thinking a day-long adventure might be in order, "for our asses to see the road" as they say in the land of my people.

thing is, i sometimes look at the map up here & have a hard time getting enthusiastic about anything less than 5 inches away.

what happened to the days when the road was the point? how did i get destination-y?

don't worry; i intend to find that old spirit by the time you and i do the big drive-about next year. the one that goes to the wide-open spaces. that one.

a different-sized sky.

where different = bigger.

...which case is one rare one wherein bigger is better...

The answer is clear (although it won't work for a day trip). Big Sky=Montana. Or you could come see me. The sky is pretty little here, though.

well, the sky's a little bigger down on the Sho'. (downy Sho'? somehow i think not --- the "downy" being all Dundahck, the Sho' being all Sho'. ?)
