bigfinedaddy on the phone, and then having a ham element to the buffet dinner at the truck stop we enjoyed (much) (along with flirting w/waitress) shortly afterwards. Oh, and my back-East pal Terri called & left a message for the occasion, in case I celebrate it, or even if I don't, saying she hadn't sent cards this year. Plus & which-reminds-me, I got another "Easter rummy" card from Emerald "Rally" Watson. Mixed media. He specializes in mixed media. This year the almost-passed-out drunk bunny is saying "GLORPP."
The by-gum-you-don't on the shutting down front is more of that giddiness at recovery, called up when reporting it on the phone last night to LA, who had the "shut down" line, and teased me a little for not buying it when she'd said it, or words/etc. to that effect, before. Which (teasing) I love, of course, of course. And it's true, the shut down thing: a long long time, sometimes, yeah, but. But! But.

The "shutting down front" was a ref back to the subject line for the post---that you don't shut down forever, or i didn't shut down forever, as LA said on the phone, which i liked. When I liked it, she teased me to the effect of "oh, NOW you believe me"---said it before, but when one IS shut down, or when THIS one was shut down, the message didn't hit paydirt. hit home. take. get through. meet with credence. like that. And I liked being teased about that, cuz it's sweet affection to be teased for one's hang-ups on pain, from the POV of the dear one who sat with you with it, knowing, and saying, but knowing the saying wasn't going through. AND then I guess I said something about it being true that one doesn't shut down forever, even if one does for a long long time sometimes. But not forever. Then emphatic "but" variations. Not to be confused with emphatic "butt" variations.
The "by-gum-you-don't" is "the truth" of that; to say "it" (the ref to such in the subject) is "more of the giddiness of recovery" was meant to say something like "this is more of what I was talking about before, whenever I was talking giddily about being, well, happy. better. like that."
