Laughed out loud at the O'Keefe joke. Thanks for that! :)

Potentially into the realm of carnivals, depending on your meaning! :)

Oh! As long as you're here, I meant to tell you: if you have Showtime, this week's episode of Penn & Teller: Bullshit! sounds like it's right up your alley. Here's the Entertainment Weekly summary: "Taboo-busters [Penn & Teller] battle anti-fat forces with this take on the obesity epidemic. Big doesn't equal unhealthy, so says their scientific and historical data (e.g., the BMI scale is based on 19th-century stats)."

Sounds good, I think. Wish I had Showtime!

dang---that sounds great. i'm a little amazed it's happening! wonder if it'll ever go to dvd.

thanks for the tip, anyway. maybe i can find some rich person to record it.

I think their first few seasons of the show are on DVD, so this one will probably get there eventually. After it airs, you might check Showtime's website to see if they're streaming it. A lot of networks have been doing that lately. Or it might show up on iTunes. (If I were more web-savvy, I'd be able to tell you how to download it from BitTorrent or some other MPAA-confounding device... Alas, I don't know how that works.) I'll keep my eyes open, because I'd like to see it too!
