what, MORE fountain pens?

Some contemp ones (the first 5) and some classics (the rest):

(a)red Puccini

(b) yard o' led

(c) cool orange

(d) edgy retro 51

(e) creamy

(f) Parker green kitty-corner

(g) wood swirly

(h) striped sheaffer balance

(i) sleek mont blanc

(j1) DUOFOLD
(j2) Parker 24

I like 'em all except maybe (e)--- but it's growing on me.

(i) is for you, Sara. It's not all that vintage---a Mont Blanc from the early 1980s.

I still find them all hideous. In fact, you're beginning to convince me that there's something inherently hideous about all fountain pens. Or maybe it's just the obscenely overpriced ones.

Do you like any pens? If so, what kind(s)?

I like pens under much the same circumstances that I like most other things: mainly when they're purple or rainbow-striped. But red and most shades from blue to blue-green are also acceptable provided that the style is impressive. The style of the orange one you posted in one of your previous posts was great, but it was orange and that completely ruined it.

Now that you mention it, however, I can't say that I actually own many pens that I like.

skinny

a) maybe (strange but attractive)
c) cool! (contemporary art)
g) certainly! (classic)
i) too skinny! can't be comfortable in the hand! (slippery too; i've had a similar one)

Actually, I think (e) is my favorite of the bunch.

And my auditory reactions were...

(a)oooooOOOOOOooooooooh
(g)aaaaawwwaaaahhaahhhh
(h)hmmmmmmmmmm

I LOVE the wood character and scroll work on the nib in (A) the best, the artistic side of (G), and the colorscheme of (H) matches my comforter, almost.
