Looks like we have us enough for a rousing game of Capitalism----er, Monopoly! Now the question: do you play by the real rules, or do you have the pot of fine money for anyone landing on "Free Parking" (the folk version)?

How about Credo: The Game of Dueling Dogmas? :)

Great game name. Is it a game that requires a weekend to learn?

The basic Credo game only requires a few hours to play, and perhaps thirty minutes to grasp most of the nuances. The subject of the game, the Nicean Councils which established the Christian Creed (the whole "We believe in one God..." schtick), might require a weekend to research thoroughly.

Gather your bishops and secular leaders, refute the doctrines of other sects (your fellow players), convert the pagans (or watch them martyr one of your bishops), persecute sects whose doctrines are at odds with the Credo, and rally to hold off the latest wave of Islamic invasions. What fun, eh? :)

Sounds good to me! I imagine giving it a go sans research. Might you be into hosting such a game in the not-too-distant?

I'd be up for it, although I doubt I could host it until after all the unpacking is done. I even have the second edition of the game, direct from the creator (I also own the first edition in both English and French (which I don't read or speak). The French edition is pretty!). I'll also need to find a pair of scissors, as the cards still need to be cut out. Pesky playtest copies... :)

A Credo party!

Okay, we'll have to set something up! This would be fun fun fun. (I've seen Credo played but never done it myself.)
