another study

Now that [livejournal.com profile] queerbychoice has referred us to a report of evidence of anti-short bias in the workplace, this study, reported on at SFGate, seemed to be ripe for sharing:

People found unattractive if they stand next to obese friends

Not that we don't know about such deep-seated social forces, but pretty irritating to think about nonetheless.

Which reminds me: I wonder what people are found to be when standing next to short friends? Does it make them seem taller by comparison or does it just make them seem like if they were truly "competent" they'd hang around taller people?

lol

Feeling much more important (at all of 5'6") than I did this morning (despite the problems I present for those standing next to my girth).

You're going to feel even more important when I (all of 4'11") get out there next week. ; )
