... then, too ...

[livejournal.com profile] maffick just had a paper with this word in it: vertizontal.

Now that's the kind of messing with the mind I can really get behind.

I think my nose might actually start bleeding if I came across that word and was forced to do something about it.

Just think, though. At least you don't have to field mind-numbing stupidity on the phone.

'How do I tell if a shipping label is used or not?'

*pregnant pause due to my dumbfounded astoundment*

'Well, a new label would still be on the roll, as opposed to, say one that's already on the side of a box.'

Sound like one of the words our authors like to make up. Can't think of a good one off-hand, but Lori keeps a list, I think.

What's really mind-blowing is that I just Googled that word, and got 727 results for it. If that keeps up, it'll soon end up in dictionaries. Though I certainly wouldn't like to be the poor dictionary-company employee assigned to write a definition for it.

I would! Like to be that person, that is. The power! With awesome power comes awesome responsibility, yes, but it's also true that the more vertizontal, the better.

We were saying today that it means something like how vertical you manage to be after a rough night.
