The scuttlebutt is that it's going to be the headquarters for their AdWords thing (which I know little about) as well as for the (controversial) book digitization thing. (You may remember the U Mich library had volunteered to have its stuff scanned, but there's been some haggling in the courts about copyright.)
They can't pay that badly, you know? They're Google! They have, like, mini-golf and roaming massagers and other such consideration for employees, cuz (the schtick goes) (and may well be true) they value talent and creativity so much they wanna keep 'em happy.
Whaddaya think, S? Wanna move out here? That's more money here than it would be there (but not as much as it woulda been in Cincy or Bloomington, I'm sure).
