Date: Mar. 6th, 2006 03:56 pm (UTC)but the catch is that best picture is never the best picture. or virtually never. it's the most academy-popular, and sometimes you'd think the people voting don't have anything to do with movies at all, for what they pick. in that category the nominations themselves tend to leave out the best, and always include some forrest gump crap, which will win in that bizarre way.
it was "palestinian territories," too, after all. poo.
