wow. score!

I just made the word "MERMAIDS" in online Scrabble, for a double-triple with all-yer-letters bonus, not to mention a pleasing word to plunk onto the (virtual) board. It is no doubt the highest height of my Scrabble life thus far, and likely in perpetuity, so I wanted to share.

Certainly a game player. Less so of board games than other sorts of games, but not really by design... more by accident. But games of all sorts are happy wonderful things. :^)

As the recipient of this can of whoop-ass, even I must admit it was a beautiful thing to see. I'm going to lose this game by over 300 points. I'm used to losing at Scrabble, but never have I done it with such flair. Imagine how much you would have scored if they would have double-tripled your fifty bonus points....576 by my calculations. You may have gotten rrrripped off.

Ah, hell---I'll take what they gave me. All for the pleasure of mermaids. And MERMAIDS.

Thanks for indulging my wallowing in it!

---today the best scrabble player i have ever been, god i'm good, i slay me, etc.

I remember the time I got "ANTENNA," though I don't remember the score.

I'm still up to playing a game of Scrabble with you, by the way.

That sounds quite appealing! As does Legos, of course. How's your week between Christmas and New Year's? I assume you're not teaching...

I expect a brother to stop by one day, maybe overnight, but the date is not yet set.

Beyond that, I'm free.

Cool! Keep me posted, and we'll pick a time? If your brother likes Scrabble that'd be cool, too.
