anybody remember these two?

I was looking around for Banana Splits stuff this morning and came across ElectraWoman and DynaGirl --- hunh?!? Anybody recall them?



Just from the picture they seem to be both embedded with a certain femme touch---thus implying an assurance of heteronormality. Still---you could tell Wilma & Betty could quite well be getting it on, despite their everyday passing.

Yep, I even remember the theme song. Or at least the title line. Sometimes I still sing it out loud for our (captive audience, planning their revenge) cats while posing them.

It was, of course, a bad show, with the same ridiculously bad effects of other videotaped seals & krofft shows (a la sigmund and the sea monster, dr. shrinker, land of the lost, probably others). But there really was no heteronormative dynamic to them. They were like the lesbionic version of batman and robin. ElectraWoman was coach and matron rolled into one. Together, needless to say, they kicked ass.

Oh yes, I was very into them before i realized how badly Croft shows sucked.

I was also stoked for the new version, but it never happened.
