Some of these dictionaraokes are entertaining, I daresay. Some of the contributors, like "the former yugoslavia," mix male and female dictionary voices.

In particular I consider this "What's New, Pussycat?" a decided improvement upon the original.

You like? Which ones?

Finally got around to listening to it---thanx. I'm tickled to be able to listen to Shakey Jake at my computer, too. Nice archive.

Me, I've got to get around to preserving this "Hey, Mom, please send me my balls" Vietnam war era song on some old weird record I bought years ago.

When is your radio show? You know, if you don't mind my stalkily wanting to know.

Yup, ubuweb/365 and the like have democratized audio kitsch to wonderful effect. Shaky Jake still roaming the byways of A2?

I sure don't mind, and I'm flattered by your interest, to say the least. We're going over the summer schedule/fall semester speedbump and some timeslots are being shifted to accomodate the returning students but I'm reasonably sure that I'll still be on Tuesdays 9pm to 1030pm, Eastern Time. Most weeks (as broadcast alter ego Charles Kinbote/Vseslav Botkin) I run an old Jean Shepherd show and fill in the rest with a short story, some monologuing, bits of mp3 or vinyl weirdness, and some carefully chosen music in between. My best pal and outgoing Station GM Jana usually follows (as "John Shade") at 1030. All in all, pretty standard WFMU-knockoff fare but we do our best to keep it engaging.
