The postcard doesn't show the water flowing from the top of the rocks. It was a majestic waterfall and I cried when they tore the sign down. Silver Springs is an extremely small town and that particular sign marked not only the entrance to the amusement park but the beginning of the west side to the Ocala National Park. Now, they've changed the entrance to Baseline from SR 40. It was never the same after that.

This is the sign I remember from the seventies. Now that the parks been turned over to the state. I haven't been out that way.
