Bow Tie Tuesday

Hi.  Happy BTT.

One of my coworkers mentioned in a meeting this morning that his choice of a red tie was in honor of or association with the upcoming Valentine's Day.  I stated that my pink one was only coincidentally in such association, and that, had I thought of that association, I wouldn't have gone with it.

That reminded me of the anti-Valentine's counter-somethingal strain, and that reminded me of the Black Hearts Ball.  I'll tell you about that in a separate post soon.  In the meantime, if you want to see dishelved me today,

And now, speaking of, I think I'll go take an evening shower.  It may mean weird hair tomorrow, if it isn't fully dry when I go to bed (for, though it will be many hours until then, my hair takes a long time to dry, conditionered up, despite its strands being thin, as in not densely clustered).  Or, heck, I could wait to take a shower in the morning.  I dunno.

These are the deep decisions I have these days.

That's a very cheerful tie.

You look sheveled enough for me.

But on closer inspection, you actually said you looked dishelved. But I'm not sure if that means unshelved or doubly shelved. Based on the background, you look at least trishelved. But you aren't actually on any of those shelves, so you are dishelved in the other possible sense of the word.

Language is complicated.

I may be quadrishelved. Hmm. I mean, there's the question of whether the top of the bookcase is another shelf. And maybe each individual section of that bookcase has its on 3 shelves, plus a questionable 4th, depending on whether the bottom of the case counts as a shelf. Seems like it shouldn't.

I think properly I may be nona-shelved, or novem-shelved, or ennea-shelved, in that sector of shelfdom.

Or tetrashelved. I'm never sure when to go with quadru- or tetra-. Then there's the question of Anne. There are lots of people named Anne. And quite a few named Dianne. But would really be impressed by someone named Trianne. After that, I think Tetranne has a better ring to it than Quadranne. But I'd be impressed by anyone with either name.
