The saddest part of the pandemic is how... underwhelming it all is. Like, the zombie movies taught us to expect the total and utter breakdown of society, humans scavenging from the remains, people with guns and gasmasks thanking God each day they made it through alive. In reality it's just, like, normal life. Except we don't get to hang out with other people. Sigh.
I often look at these postcards and think "Look at all those people... swimming together, or in a park together, or whatever... not wearing masks or keeping apart from each other."
