Jan. 13th, 2024 05:32 pmIndeed, let's interrupt Isle of Wight Week for some snow.
It's really more ice than snow, it seems, as the temperature starts to drop, with the arctic chill a-comin'. But my power came back on this afternoon, and pray Somebody it stays on through the next few nights. And that whatever line that tree out front is lying on doesn't come down & isn't a power line. Or is, if they can fix it. Tried calling them about it, but am skeptical when it comes to this for-profit utiltiy we've had it up to here with. Or even here. Or a few feet higher than that.
Such a stresser, power out, after what happened last year. I'm exhausted from it. Vulnerability and fear, wrapped in the opposite of a blanket.
