It's not so much a vacation as a solid week off work, but it's been a holiday, indeed.

It ended with an adventure, with my Jeep not starting in the library parking lot after [livejournal.com profile] peteralway and [livejournal.com profile] squirrelykat and I met up to try out an Apollo board game (though we did the "starter" Gemini mission).

Except that wasn't really the end.  Most of the car fix was finished in my driveway a couple of hours later, with just one missing bolt needing replacement tomorrow---the guy's gonna meet me somewhere.

I then came in and am almost done entering my sheet music in MuseScore so I can transpose it to a better key (and play it for myself, for practice).  I'd forgotten how to use MuseScore, and there's a new version anyway, since I worked many hours on the ill-fated arrangement of My Uncle Terwilliger Waltzes with Bears.  So it's a little after 1 a.m. now but I feel like trying to finish that.

In the morning I've got a blood draw for a doc's appt later this week.  There's a lot of professional-visit stuff coming up, and I'll be very work-busy again.  Gonna be a shift.  But I sure like shifting down to no work.  Might try to do it again before too long.  Got puh-lenty of leave, that's for sure.

It was a warm rainy night as Mike and I tried and tried to find that bolt out there in the grass dirt puddle mud rock leaf mess, and in all the nooks and crannies of the hood, and in his tool bag and truck and all over.  Poor guy was so frustrated.

Tracy adopted a kitten today.  I wanna meet him soon.  Kitties are so excellent.
