The replacement tuning pegs I got for my guitar didn't fit in one way (one it didn't even occur to me to think about).  But I got an instant no-return refund for them (guess they'll go in my box for the PTO Thrift, when I eventually get there again), and this way, when I get a new set on Monday, I'll also get a string winder and a new set of strings.  Turns out I only had 4 of the 6 strings I thought I had.

Also for me from Santa-via-me today:  several pairs of new socks, and a new duster wand, and one of those reacher tools you use to get items off the top shelf, or the floor, when your cats keep knocking things down from other places.  Sure, it feels a little bit like caving to my reluctance to get out the step stool or go around bending over and picking up this and that, but, hey, I've already picked up a lot of things, enjoying the novelty of it.

Now my belly is full, and the snow outside is beautiful.
