What a lovely old refractor! I read in Sky and Telescope that the observatory had a close call with the wildfires this year. Burned down the quarters of E E Barnard, the discoverer of Barnard's star, the one with the greatest proper motion in the sky. But I believe this lovely old instrument is still OK. I'm reminded of what in the pre-Apollo days was the favorite moon picture from Lick Observatory. At first glance, it looks like a full moon, but on closer inspection, you see the shadows, and realize it's a composit of first and last quarters.

Here's a web page with it shown nice and big: https://www.thelivingmoon.com/43ancients/41Group_Lunar_FYEO/02files/FYEO_Lunar_07.html
