Moonlight is the best picture.

Hidden Figures was inspirational, educational, absorbing and well acted.  And the musical that seems heavily favored to win, well, I'm glad of it, and what it may do to bring back the big screen musical for a bit, and there is a lot to love in it.  And my personal experience of it was complicated and made me write this, which now reminds me, as I get ready to type in a version of it for you, of how today on the radio I heard the poet Keith Taylor give the old line of poet and polymath Paul Valéry that a poem is never finished, only abandoned:

So, yeah, that movie was quite a movie.  But Moonlight is the best.
