1. Reply to this post with "CHEESE!" and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

I got these from [livejournal.com profile] nick_101.

1.

That's a foster kitty with me in that pic, which I think of as a me-feeling-like-making-a-gif icon.  Sometimes I like the stealthy ones, with a delay, though I didn't have a super-long delay in this one.  I've maybe never used the icon, though, and think of deleting it.

Here are two NYC gifs that I like partly for their stealthy delays but that I (a) can't credit the creator of (having not noted it) and (b) can't paste in to appear flat-out here cuz they're at my bandwidth-wonky photobucket account, but they're worth a click over to, I suggest.

Let's call this one "reflections",      and this one "all the news among the frozen".

2.

This is the kid from the Miranda July film Me and You and Everyone We Know.  He's sincere and weirdly touching, with his version of cybersexishness, which should be creepy with it involving a little kid and poop, but it totally isn't.  Check it out here:

I guess I use it when I'm staring at the screen for some reason, trying to process something, or feeling that core sincerity, or some inner child directness or something.

3.

Ah, Bobby Hill, from TV's "King of the Hill."  The kid who somehow doesn't let any of all that shit in his life get him down.  No wonder, in the episode in which he's tested to see if he's a reincarnated lama, it's ambiguous at the end about whether he really failed the test (or just chose to stay secular cuz he loves a girl).

I use Bobby for the inner child, for sincerity, for pain, for strength.  For knowing what I know.  Interesting [livejournal.com profile] nick_101 picked both of these fictional kid character ones that have similar feelings for me.

4.

This icon was a promo offered at the website for the movie I Huckabees.  It's about getting outta yer head.  Stopping the loop.  Knocking oneself into mere/glorious presence, and just noticing how that (and everything) feels.

5.

I call it "night ice."  It's from a picture taken with my pre-smart phone, one icy night.  It was originally about a dark, cold, bereft feeling involving icy interpersonal relations where I wished they weren't icy.  Subsequently I've used it mainly for a dark state of spirit/emotions, and maybe for literal frozen icy nighttime, too, not sure.

So there's stuff about those.  Wanna play?  "CHEESE" me.
