fflo: (night ice)

For years it drove me crazy
your funny pudeur,
the way you would refer to "your condition" —
If he can't even say the words,
I thought,
then how on earth's he ever going to ...

                                                          Well, what?

What vengeful predicate
waited under my tongue?
"Your funny pudeur" — but today I cling
to my little phrase for you; think it
invokes the cheap and dear
indignity of the living
in "having traits."
