sated, and bouncy

They were giving away coffee at Starbucks this a.m. I'd had a weak cuppa here already. Switched to the ball chair today, and after this infusion I'm over here doing my Chris Wms, if you know what I mean.

I stopped in at Le Dog on the way back. Sorry I didn't ask you which soup you wanted, [livejournal.com profile] upsidedownblue: it was a spontaneous move, and I didn't have my phone on me.

Starbucks is organizing, btw. Did you hear? The IWW. That'll be one bigger One Big Union if it goes down, sisters & brothers.

did you know?

A "designer decimal" is a rational number with an "interesting" decimal expansion, like

        10000/9899 = 1.01020305081321345590....

Do you see what's interesting about it? I kinda dug the first few digits, but had to be told the real "hunh!" of it.

I'm betting on [livejournal.com profile] paperkingdoms to get it, of course. Anybody who can beat her to it wins her/his choice of my broken-necked giraffe candle or my root-beer-smellin' pencil!

Buffy Sainte-Marie

My old friend Davi J. Peterson turned me on to this song, "Guess Who I Saw In Paris", which I was just thinking about cuzza a discussion in .planland. Love Buffy's warble, and how h-o-t hot are the understatement, the cinematic zeroing in (that's what the Dahv pointed out) of the "standing in the street" anaphora, and the "la da da"s.
