It seems particularly appropriate that Channel 13 would mess up with a race-related story since that station's the one that resisted integrating the Buddy Dean Show, inspiring John Waters's central story in Hairspray. They're the moneyed, slicker-than-thou station in town, too, or used to be. And that's where Oprah worked and left, reporting she was treated terribly.
