Hmm...that's not exactly how I heard the story. It's possible that certain facts have been left out, or that it's completely wrong...either way, it's a prettier tale than reality.
I'm skeptical too, if only cuz it's a tourist-thing postcard from that part of the country and cuz it cites a source. You know what I mean, how sometimes citing a source makes something less trustworthy?
