I want to go there, even if not in a red Beetle (though in all honestly, I only remember how cramped it was in the back seat of a rented Beetle whn I was a kid--maybe the front seat was fine.
The front seat isn't too bad for a larger adult. Lotsa head room. And what with the interior being fairly simple, there's a fair bit of air/room. Also the stick shift is one of the easiest you'll ever operate.
Then there's that whole air-cooled thing. Pretty nifty.
