Now it's gonna be me & one cat.
Manny apparently had a kitty-cat stroke, around 3:30 this morning. I'm waiting in the passenger seat of the Jeep for them to bring him out on (what I was just calling in an email to the boss) a euthanasia extension cord, so I can hold him in my lap while he gives up the ghost.
The vehicle heat only works on full-bore high-fan high-heat, so I turn it in and off, doing the pandemic parking lot distance version of vet care.
They just called again. They're about to bring him out. I'm still in business mode, but will be falling apart within the half-hour.

I guess it's one of the quickest sick-to-dead pet experience I've had.

I know i am grieving the world right now, and that seemed to happen so quickly. I know that it seemed prudent to prepare in late February but i don't recall the change settling in until later in March. i know grief comes in waves for many of us, and to have such a personal grief with the greater global grief... well, be gentle with your expectations of yourself.
