It's warm enough that:

(a) the stove must be unplugged or it will beep interminably (unless/until I get a new part);
(b) the UHF channels on the TV can be tuned in within a mere 5 or 10 minutes after turning on the set, vs. 20 or 30 minutes.

I am pleased to say that my stove is so primitive that it has no electrical components, let alone electronics. Just a gas line in. Can't beep at me.
