I hardly ever see these photos any more since China blocked Imgur, but i am very glad i just got to see this one.
I spent a day or two at Winnemucca a few years ago and it was great. Cute little museum. You can walk up to the mountains (it's a long walk, but still). Still looks pretty similar to this photo, although there's an interstate there now, and more lights on the casinos. I miss Nevada.

I've only passed through Nevada, but I do remember being struck that you could buy a guide to the "cat" houses as the counter at gas stations.
