I suppose that it beats having The Dog as your state animal.
Apparently other states who have horses have more specific breeds of horses, rather than just "The Horse."

There's a stuffed horse at Fort Riley in Kansas, or there was. Comanche. Hmm....
Oh, I remembered it wrong. He'd been at Fort Riley; once stuffed, he was at the KU museum.
