Here's the story, courtesy [livejournal.com profile] sprig5.

When I was one of those "smart-alecky students" I got into it a little with Cal Thomas, whose website's bio page calls him "America\'s [sic] Number One Political Columnist" but doesn't mention his tenure as media man for the Moral Majority, his job when he visited WC.

America/'s? That's an odd typo. Or does it mean something? Interesting, too (moreso), that he dropped the Moral Majority from his resume. You'd think that would be a gold start nowadays. What did you argue about with him?

It wasn't so much an argument... He was scanning the crowd to take questions; I put on my innocent face & he picked me. I started out echoing what he'd said about abortion & segued into the death penalty---you know, the sacredness of life only when the person hasn't actually been alive yet. I do think I zinged him a bit. So said others in attendance, anyway.
