Bow Tie Tuesday

Back to work day, for me.  Cold.  Gets dark early.  Thinking I might try the japchae at the place on Packard tonight, if the street's not all backed up by the time I get down there.

This tie is from doggie material (including doggies with glasses) that I knew right off I would be making into a tie, vs. carrying the bolt around on speculation, or remembering where it was and maybe coming back to it.

My other sewing project in today's attire is the thumbholes I put in the lime green long-sleeved T-shirt under the purple shirt seen here, having failed to find a thumbhole shirt that worked for me.  I'm not impressed with my craftiness, as someone called it today, or with the quality of my sewing, but I am impressed with my having had the notion and the gumption to convert a shirt to a thumbhole shirt, just cuz I wanted it to be a thumbhole shirt.
