What on earth are they doing?

[identity profile] fflo.livejournal.com 2018-05-15 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
They're hefting a giant horseshoe crab, if I remember right.

Wow, that's a big one! I've only seen them about palm size.

And I thought they had discovered a gigantic copper artifact from a shipwreck.

That would explain the green, anyhow.

So are they rescuing the big shells from drowning or taking them on a much-needed sea-side holiday?

"Don't worry, you'll be quite safe on the inflatable. And if you fall off we'll be there to catch you."

This picture reminded me of an article I saw an excerpt and photo of recently. I don't have a WSJ account, and it's blocked by the Great Firewall anyways, but perhaps you can reach: https://www.wsj.com/articles/if-youre-collecting-rocks-might-as-well-find-ones-that-look-like-meat-1526228726

Alas, I too am a Very Unimportant Person, locked out of the wisdom of the WSJ. But I can see that picture--- funny rock collection focus.

I do have a rock that looks a whole lot like a medium-large Idaho russet potato. But you can't crack it open to find a fluffy white interior you could then put a square rock that looks like butter in.
