Driving through the Flint Hills (where that prairie reserve is) (northeastern Kansas) (where I'm more-or-less "from") I used to like to guesstimate how far to the hilltop in the distance, or wager with the person in the car with me. It was usually further than a body might feel like it was. 5.3 miles. 7.1. Etc.

I misread the original postcard and thought, "Runza Prairie? Oh no!" I am glad to know we're talkin' Kansas.
Enjoyed the bonus pictures. Prairie is my favorite landscape.
