Wow---the newly-refurbished (by lovelikeyeast) spiffy website for NOLOSE is up & running---check it out! I love the edge. And the link to "stout outs." And the openly political feel. Plus, of course, the savvy/striking LLY design.

Moreover, now that I know the keynote speaker is going to be charlottecooper, I really can't NOT go to the conference this year, you know?

And yes, how can you *not* go this year? Must! It is just fundamentally amazing to be surrounded by so many fat queers all at once... kind of life-changing. Is it sounding cultish?

Hey, I'm not fundamentally opposed to cultish elements. Queer subculture in general has a touch of the cult to it. Cults are just intense/specialized subcultures, right? I dunno. Where's an anthropologist when you need one.
