Yep. Well, funny and/or titillating. In the way vulgar things can be perceived to be entertaining. It wasn't entirely uncommon, apparently, for "comic" cards from back in the day to cross into disgusting, as this one does.

I see that it looks entertaining, as a melodrama. I mean, the damsel tied to the railroad tracks by the villain with the handlebar mustache is entertaining, but not in a "haha, she's going to die horribly, ya gatta chuckle at that" way.

But you've been collecting archaic humor, so I'll take your word for it.

There are a lot of cards that seem as if their buyers are presumed to identify with the depicted male's perspective. And I suppose many of those buyers were men. Like this card probably wasn't bought by a lotta wimmin.
