Funny thing about time going by. I used to see pictures like that and think the face was so overwhelmed by the accoutrements of the time that I couldn't see more than a stereotype of a decade or century. But as I've come to know more people, I can see resemblance to people I've known, and I can imagine them as real people.

Int-a-restin'. I have a version of that phenomenon myself, but I don't think it's tied so much to whether I've now got real-world resemblers in my experience. But the old B&W dead people seem more real to me, generally, too. Gotta think on that.
