hibernation instinct? not exactly

For several days now I've been feeling, off and on, some kind of home-hangin' desire. Don't know what it's about, but I don't think it's the weather. There seems to be an aspect of withdrawal from social activity, though not entirely (thank goodness); I actually find myself sometimes preferring my own company to the idea of that of anyone else. I am not used to this feeling! What is it about?

I laugh at myself, with the big question mark over my head & a goofy, furrowed-brow expression.

I don't think it's all that strange. I prefer your company to that of most folks!

That sounds great. Sounds like you've really rallied after a tough year.

I haven't left the house in 72 hours! That's not so healthy (for me). I'm headed out now. ;-)

I wish I had the self control (And mother coping with) ability to stay home and enjoy my own company. It does a body good.

I wish I had some insight for you, but I'm afriad I don't. I do hope you get in the mood for one of my get togethers though. I haven't seen you in person in quite awhile.

This is a good sign.

you totally deserve down time, hibernation time. but it's a balancing act - not too much or we'll worry, but not enough and we'll make ya chill!... take a tip from your neighbor!.... but you're never REALLY alone....

If it's accompanied by lots of conversations with imaginary people and inadvertant laughs out loud, good! Leastways, I think so. We all need a solid self grounding every now and then, to remind us of our own good company.
