Seems there might a cinematic rendering of Where'd You Go, Bernadette? with Richard Linklater directing and Cate Blanchett as Bernadette.

Meanwhile I'm trying to decide whether to sign up for a trial of Audible so I can listen to the same narrator I liked reading the library CD of that novel (Kathleen Wilhoite) read the new Maria Semple, Today Will Be Different.  Like, in the Jeep.  Like, in the Jeep, which doesn't have a CD player.  Like, when my satellite radio subscription's about to end and the election's over, which o m g I am looking forward to, I think.  Unless Trump wins.

Haha --- well you've certainly helped keep them from being too high! I suppose even from the descriptions/synopses I've wondered whether it might not be so much fun, comparatively, but there was something about that Kathleen Wilhoite, fer sure.

I'll let ya know if I take the plunge, caveats and all. At least any let-down for me won't be from too high a perch. :)
